Handshaped and moulded from recycled Queensland Hoop Pine and Cypress Pine salvaged from the demolition yard, “Last Leaf” is a singularly unique floating console hall table that is wall mounted. Not only does it save precious floor space, it makes for a beautiful wall feature that is also functional.

This particular piece measures 1600mm Long x 210mm Deep x 600mm High.

Designed and handmade by Will Marx exclusively for an exhibition at The Artisan Gallery in Brisbane, Australia, this console was created to emphasise the importance of using our depleting resources carefully and wisely. “Last Leaf” depicts the long sleep that befalls our trees towards the end of Autumn, except this time into a season of endless winter if we have no natural resources left to replenish the earth we inhabit.

Every detail in this interesting and sophisticated console is well thought out and painstakingly created using decades of well honed master craftsmanship. From the intricate texturised edges to the gentle rise and fall of the convoluted leaf face, this is a hall table unlike others you have seen. The edges are flecked with gold to capture the glow of the setting sun while the leaf surfaces is perfectly smooth to best showcase the stunning grooves and grains hidden within the lovely Cypress Pine board. Each meandering line and curve flows organically and seamlessly as nature intended.

As each cabinet is made to order, the dimensions and materials are fully customisable to suit your home, office or business to reflect your personal style and interior. This includes adding drawers, shelves, legs etc. Each piece is personally custom made by Will Marx using the finest recycled solid timber to create a piece that will become a cherished heirloom and investment piece for years to come.

Every bespoke piece of work is accompanied by an Artist’s Bill of Sale and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Will Marx certifying that it is an authentic creation designed and handcrafted by the artist himself.

The current production lead time is 12 to 18 weeks. If you require more than 1 cabinet or before a certain date, please contact us prior to ordering to discuss.

The shipping costs provided is for a standard delivery service which means that delivery will take place between Monday and Friday, 9am and 5pm. Transit times will vary according to location. Each cabinet is delivered fully assembled and there is no assembly required. If you have a special requirement on shipping, i.e. weekend delivery, priority delivery etc., please contact us and we will be happy to accommodate.

Every cabinet comes with a 10 year warranty on construction.
